The holidays at Murray State

The internationally recognized Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, along with the Trumpet and Brass Ensembles and Jazz Orchestra of Murray (Ky.) State University are highlight a seasonal special.
The Holidays at Murray State — 2007 The Sights, The Sounds, The Season — will air Dec.11 at 8 p.m. on WLJT-TV/DT, Channel 11. It is a beautiful one hour sojourn in sight and sound through Murray State University and the Purchase area of western Kentucky. Also appearing on the program are the Voices of Praise choir under the direction of Michael Pickens, with soprano Dr. Sonja Baker and tenor Dr. Randall Black.
Musical selections will feature sacred, secular and spiritual pieces of the season, including “Deck the Halls,” “Christmas Bells Are Ringing,” “Sweet Little Jesus Boy,” “Veni Veni, Emanuel” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”
The MSU Concert Choir and Chamber Singers are under the direction of Dr. Bradley Almquist; Trumpet Ensemble, Dr. Eric Swisher; Brass Ensemble, Dr. Raymond Conklin; and Jazz Orchestra, Dr. Eric Hill.
