BIG CATCH – Nick Capua, 16, of Martin (center) was fishing with his buddies, 17-year-old Andrew Oliver (left) and 16-year-old Cody Oliver Thursday afternoon when he caught this monstrous carp. After the line snapped on his pole reeling the fish in, the Oliver brothers said they witnessed Capua jump into the large pond to wrestle the fish ashore. The carp weighed 53 pounds and was 42 inches long. The trio were fishing in a pond near Collins Drive in Martin when Capua made his big catch. The young men said they had known the big fish was in the pond for several years, they just never realized how big it actually was.
