Weakley Co. Motors was established by Larry Alexander’s family in 1964 as a Ford dealership, they later incorporated Nissan.
Their business is family operated, employing eight Alexanders, including the receptionist who is Larry’s mother who will be turning 90 years old in November.
Alexander says the company’s laid back atmosphere and the importance they place on customer service takes the “high pressure” out of car buying. The company has competitive prices and has won the Distinguished Service Award distributed by Nissan for top customer service. Alexander also won the Reader’s Choice Auto Salesman of 2010. The Alexanders are Martin natives and Larry and his brother are both graduates of the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Their company is a Weakley County Chamber of Commerce member as well as a Martin Business Association member. They hold monthly meetings to share experiences and improvement in other areas.
