Battlefields preserved across state of Tennessee

Across Tennessee, Civil War battlefields have been preserved so generations can see where brave men fought to shape America’s future. Dr. Carroll Van West, director of the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area, suggests the following battlefield parks in all parts of the state.
First, the major National Parks Service-operated battlefields, listed with contact information:
• Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge, part of the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military
