Samburg’s annual Christmas parade was held Saturday night, with 67 entries. Jerry Spicer served as grand marshal.
Winners included:
• Judges Choice — first place, Samburg Baptist Church.
• Religious — first place, Hornbeak Pentecostal Church.
• Large float — first place, Coca-Cola truck.
• Small float — first place, Hornbeak Baptist Church.
• Antique car/truck — first place, Dylan Morris; and second place, the Lyons.
• Decorated modern car/truck — first place, Jimmy Riley; second place, Brent Griffin; third place, Butch Caksackkar; and fourth place, Zach Blackley.
• Commercial — first place, Allan Sheppard, Coke float.
• Business — first place, Buddy’s Wrecker Service; and second place, Cash Express.
• Government — first place, Gibson Electric Membership Corp.
• Scout troop — first place, Boy Scouts Troop No. 80 Tiptonville.
• Decorated ATV — first place, Tina Mitchell; second place, Hayden Quillin; third place, Cody Driver; fourth place, Wes Bone; and fifth place, Brandon Bone.
• Decorated small car — first place, Johnny Dean and Ty Perminter.
• Decorated bicycle — first place, Bubba Blackley; second place, Brenda Blackley; and third place, Steve Smith.
• Decorated motorcycle — first place, Chance Basham.
• Horses — first place, Dennis Nettles and Breanna Mann.
• Most Unusual — first place, decorated duck blind, the Smith family.
• Unexpected category — first place, decorated Barbie car, Baylee Basham.
• Band — first place, Obion County Central High School.
• Decorated tractor — first place, Goodman Farms.
