UC council to meet

The Union City city council will meet this evening at 5:30 in the courtroom of the Union City Municipal Building.
There will be consideration of authorization to purchase two vehicles for the police department through the drug fund; board and committee appointments; authorization to solicit bids for vehicle purchases budgeted in the Parks, Public Works and Water departments; authorization to solicit bids for two salt spreaders and front blades; consideration of bids received for the purchase of a Turf Department utility vehicle and for financing rates in the purchase of a street sweeper; consideration of bids received for the purchase of Lot 32 in the EW Richmond Subdivision; authorization to appropriate funds for the purchase of a Wastewater Plant security system, not to exceed $10,000; a resolution to amend water tap fees and establish sanitary sewer rodding fees within the corporate city limits and outside city corporate limits where city services are available; a budget report; the review of bills; miscellaneous business; and the recognition of visitors to hear grievances and/or complaints.
Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month and all sessions are open to the public.
