Two Fulton robberies investigated by police
Fulton police are investigating two robberies that have occurred in as many days at stores in their city.
The first incident occurred Tuesday night at the Marathon station on Kentucky Avenue, while the second took place Wednesday night at the Save-A-Lot store on Middle Road in Fulton.
Police responded to the most recent robbery at Save-A-Lot about 7:24 p.m. Wednesday and were told by clerks that two black women and another woman entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint, according to a press release from the Fulton Police Department.
They then fled the scene on foot.
In the Marathon robbery Tuesday, Fulton police officers responded about 9:11 p.m. to the station, where clerk Paul Gandhi reported two black men had entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint, according to a Fulton Police Department press release.
The clerk told police the suspects appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s, both wearing black hooded sweatshirts. They fled the scene on foot.
At this time, disclosure of the amounts of cash taken in the two robberies is being withheld by police.
Anyone who has any information about the either of the robberies is asked to contact the Fulton Police Department at (270) 472-3141 or their local law enforcement agency.
