The members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Union City invite the community to a game day Saturday at the Obion County Public Library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City from 1–3 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and bring favorite board and card games.

Music weekend planned
A great weekend of Southern gospel music is slated as The Joylanders celebrate 40 years of singing gospel music. Group founders Perry and Nell Wimberley invite the public to attend at Gibson County High School Theater in Dyer. Other groups scheduled are Marcy Kelsey and the original Songmasters, The Barnetts and the Renaissance Quartet from Bethel University in McKenzie.
All events are free. A love offering will be accepted. Concert times are March 18 at 7 p.m., March 19 at 6 p.m. and March 20 at 9:30 a.m. More details can be found at www.thejoylanders.com or by calling (731) 855-2423.

McCurley to speak
The Rev. Don C. McCurley from Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Trenton will be the speaker Sunday at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 631 East Church St. Morning worship is at 10:55. Renee Harris from Bethel University in McKenzie will be guest soloist. The community is invited to attend.
Classes planned
Healing Faith Family Worship Center, located at 2113 West Main St. in Union City, will begin two classes, “The Kingdom of God” at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, and “The Spring Festivals of the Lord” at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
“Come and learn about this powerful revelation God wants every believer to experience in their life,” a spokesman said.
For more information, call (731) 446-9582.

‘Saturday Singing’ set
Bethel Baptist Church will begin its Saturday Singing event again this week at 5 p.m. A time of family-friendly fellowship and refreshments will follow the service. The community is invited to attend.

Prayer breakfast slated
The Patsy McCord Missionary Circle of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, located at 720 East College St. in Union City, will sponsor a prayer breakfast Saturday from 7-10 in the fellowship hall of the church. Carl Minor will be the speaker.
Donations of $5 are being requested and tickets are available from any circle member.

To sell chicken plates
Manna Ministries, located at 4001 Ken-Tenn Highway near Union City, will be selling take-out plate lunches for $7 Saturday from noon-2 p.m. at the church. Diners will have a choice of chicken and dressing or chicken and dumplings, plus vegetables, slaw and dessert. The event is a fund raiser for the congregation.
