Registration for the 2011-12 Union City schools kindergarten and pre-kindergarten programs will be Thursday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at Union City Elementary School at 1100 South Miles Ave. Registration will be in the school library.
Children who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 are eligible to attend kindergarten for the 2011-12 school year. Children who will be 4 years old on or before Sept. 30 are eligible for pre-kindergarten.
After school care will be available from 3-5:30 p.m. during the school year and a separate registration is required to utilize this service.
“We look forward to seeing you and your child at registration,” says UCES principal Michael Paul Miller.
The following records are required for school entrance:
• child’s Social Security number;
• child’s birth certificate;
• child’s immunization record;
• child’s current physical exam record
However, parents who do not have this information may register Thursday.
Anyone who cannot attend the registration but plans to enroll a child in the kindergarten or pre-kindergarten program at UCES is asked to contact the school at 885-1632.
