Tanner joins law firm

The law firm of Miller & Martin PLLC has announced that former Congressman John Tanner  has joined the firm, effective immediately.
Tanner will provide strategic advice to the firm’s clients in the areas of taxation and tariffs, international business development, foreign relations, government, military relations and the environment.
He will also augment the firm’s participation in the World Law Group, a global law firm network consisting of 50 independent member law firms from 60 countries on six continents.
Tanner recently retired from the U.S. House of Representatives after serving 11 terms in Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District. While in Congress, Tanner was elected president of NATO’s Parliamentary Assembly, an esteemed body of high ranking officials that links NATO with the parliaments of the NATO nations.

Tanner received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Tennessee. In addition to joining Miller & Martin, Tanner will serve as vice chairman of Prime Policy Group, a premier government and public affairs firm, in Washington D.C.
Miller & Martin PLLC was established in 1867.
The firm operates offices in Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Nashville. The firm has about 200 attorneys practicing in more than 35 areas of law.
