UC council to meet

The Messenger, April 4, 2011 The Union City city council will meet Tuesday evening at 5:30 in the courtroom of the Union City Municipal Building. The evening will begin with a public meeting whose purpose it to consider an ordinance to amend Ordinance 2-81 related to the rezoning of Lot No. 38 in the E.W. Richmond Subdivision from R-1 (low density) to B-1 (local business district). The regular business meeting will begin immediately following the public hearing and will include the following items on the agenda: approval of minutes from the March 15 meeting, consideration of a resolution in opposition to the Topix website, consideration of an agreement between Carey Counseling Center Inc. and the City of Union City, a first reading of the ordinance to rezone Lot No. 38 of the E.W. Richmond Subdivision from R-1 to B-1, the resignation of Martha Rippy from Ward 1 of the City Beautiful Commission, consideration of the appointment to the City Beautiful Commission of Ann Moore from Ward 1 and receiving the minutes of the Planning Commission minutes from March 17. Public meetings are regularly held the first and third Tuesdays of each month and all sessions are open to the public.
