UT Martin's Kid College adds several unique classes

The University of Tennessee at Martin’s annual Kid College is set for June 6-16.
Kid College is a nine-day program for children who will attend kindergarten in the fall 2011 through the fifth grade.
An open house is planned for 4:30-6:30 p.m. June 16. All parents, family and friends are invited to attend and meet the teachers, view displays and watch demonstrations. Refreshments will be served.
A few of the new courses for the kindergarten to second-grade age group include American Girl Delicious Desserts, Football Fundamentals/Life Skills, Let’s Play and Move, Hello Cupcake!, Sketchbook Club, Weather Watchers and Storm Chasers, American Girl Celebration, CSI Junior, Jazz Dance, Wearable Art, Let’s Talk (Sign Language) and Paper Folding Fun.
Some of the new courses for the third- through fifth-grade age group include American Girl Delicious Desserts, Football Fundamentals/Life Skills, Let’s Play and Move, Whiz Kids, Playing with Art, Wonderful World of Digital Storytelling, Kid’s Fitness, Pretty Princess, Weather Watchers and Storm Chasers, Disc Golf, Sketchbook Club, Hello Cupcake!, Let’s Talk (Sign Language), Radio Active, Jazz Dance, Fetch! Club and Histories Mysteries.
 Popular classes from the past that will be offered again this year include Space Camp, Practicing Pet Pros, Chemical Reactions, Cheerleading, Positively Playdough, Baking with Mrs. Baker, Soccer Shootout, Stellar Storybooks, Mad Scientists, Guitar, Karate, Tales of the Traveling Tree House, Kids with Cameras and Yoga for Kids.
Classes are $40 each and T-shirts are available for an additional $10.
