Whitney Brooke Ray, daughter of Kenny and Suzanne Ray of Union City, recently earned a doctor of pharmacy degree from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Ala.
She was a class officer and a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc. while in graduate school.
Miss Ray graduated from South Fulton High School in 2005 and earned her undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville.
Before pursuing her pharmacy practice, she will be leaving for Ethiopia to work in an orphanage to assist with the children’s medications, instruction and teaching, among a variety of other duties. She is also hoping to secure a position in Zambia, Africa, teaching pharmacy students at the University of Zambia.
