SCV meet slated

The Sons of Confederate Veterans local camp 176 will meet Sunday at 2 p.m. at Obion County Museum on Edwards Street in Union City. All members are urged to attend and participate in planning a dedication ceremony for the 125 percent scale cannon being placed at the Confederate Memorial Plaza in Trimble.
The SCV works in conjunction with other historical groups to preserve Confederate history. It is not affiliated with any other group. The SCV rejects any group whose actions tarnish or distort the image of the Confederate soldier or his reasons for fighting.
