UC set to scrimmage;
Central, SF will, too

Union City will scrimmage Class 5A Brighton Thursday night at 6 — the first of a series of scrimmages by Obion County’s three prep football entries.
The single-A Tornadoes will host the Cardinals on Thursday after returning home from four days’ worth of camp workouts at Columbia.
Both Obion Central and South Fulton will also scrimmage to conclude their respective first week in full-pads.
The Rebels (4A) will welcome highly-touted Class 5A foe Henry County Friday night for a 7 o’clock session.
The Patriots, coached by widely-respected ex-South Fulton High School standout James Counce, are expected to have one of their best squads in several seasons with a number of Division I college prospects.
Admission to the scrimmage will be $5, according to head coach Shawn Jackson.
SF will scrimmage Friday at 7 at Gibson County — the first of two such preseason sessions for the Red Devils, who’ll also scrimmage Dresden next week.
