Ken G. Darling

Ken G. Darling, 59, of Sharon died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011 at his residence. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Vernon Methodist Church, Sharon with Lowell Wiley and Tommy Harrison officiating. Burial in Tansil Cemetery, Sharon with Williams Funeral Home of Sharon in charge of the arrangements. Shan Chappell, Don Chappell, Cat Cantrell, Donnie Armstrong, Hank Johnson and Jerry Morgan served as pallbearers. Darling was born Sept. 12, 1951 in Martin, son of Geraldine Waterfield Darling of Sharon and the late Harry Darling. He was a member of the Tennessee National Guard and a self-employed trucker. Survivors also include his wife, Mrs. Kim Coble Darling of Sharon; one son, Joey Darling of Martin; one daughter, Breania Darling of Trezevant; two step daughters, Ashley VanMeter of Sharon and Jennifer Puckett of Martin; one step son, Cody Wade of Martin; one sister, Kay Armstrong of Sharon; and five step grandchildren, Madison Puckett, R. J. Puckett, Alayna VanMeter, Fisher VanMeter and Cameron Taylor. WCP 8.16.11
