Racer golfers double with holes-in-one The Murray State men’s golf program had a memorable weekend when two student-athletes aced the same hole a day apart during qualifying at Murray Country Club. The first hole-in-one was Saturday when junior Hunter York used a pitching wedge to ace the par-3 11th hole. Only 24 hours later on Sunday, freshman Brock Simmons did the same thing with a pitching wedge. The 11th was playing 120 yards when York made his second career hole-in-one. The ace for Simmons was his first as the hole was playing 130 yards. “I’ve been doing this for 10 years, and you don’t see that very often, let alone during qualifying rounds,” MSU head coach Eddie Hunt said.
