Volunteers are needed to move the Obion County Right to Life’s display of the “Cemetery of Innocence.” Those willing to help are asked to meet at Hornbeak Baptist Church on Short Street in Hornbeak at 8 a.m. Saturday or to join the group at 8:15 a.m. at Lakeview Church of Christ near Samburg, where the crosses will be set up again.
Volunteers are also needed to help set up a display at the CornFest Day in the Park event at Kiwanis Park in Union City, as soon as the work of moving the crosses is complete. Volunteers are asked to meet at the park at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The Agape House “Walk for Life” will be held Saturday morning at the Martin Recreational Complex.
Anyone interested in standing up for life is encouraged to come and take part in the effort to set up the displays, a spokesman said, adding that participants are encouraged to bring three- to four-pound hammers to assist in the work. Extra hammers will be available.
