Lady Twister output doubled by Martin Union City Middle School came up short vs. Martin, 8-4, in a Thursday softball game Caroline Chism went 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored to pace the Lady Tornadoes offensively. Ivey Westbrooks had two singles and a sacrifice fly, while Matty Kelly and Piper Warren each had RBIs for Union City. Westbrooks fanned two and walked two while being saddled with the pitching setback. Union City will take part in the Lake County Invitational this weekend, then hosts Lake Road on Monday. Graves hands SF 2nd straight loss South Fulton suffered its second straight loss after opening its middle school softball season with seven consecutive victories, beaten 11-0 at Graves County Thursday. The Devilettes were no-hit, their only base- runner a walk drawn by a walk drawn by Aerial Wright. GC scored eight runs off just two hits with the aide of four SF errors in the third. Wright was the losing hurler. South Fulton will participate in the Lake County Invitational this weekend, facing Martin — the team that handed the Devilettes their first loss — Saturday morning at 9:30.
