Three Oaks rallies
to beat UCMS

Three Oaks returned the opening kickoff of the second half back for a touchdown and then converted an onside kick into another score in rallying from a halftime deficit and beating Union City 22-20 in middle school football action Tuesday night.
The Golden Tornadoes (3-2) jumped out to a 20-0 halftime lead but then saw that margin trimmed to 20-14 before even touching the ball on offense in the third quarter.
The home team then added another score and two-point conversion about midway through the fourth quarter. UC took over with about four minutes to play in the game and drove downfield before stalling and failing to score.
Case Cook put UC on the board first on an eight-yard reception from Will Sisco in the opening quarter. Jacob Hyde added the two-point conversion for an 8-0 UC lead.
The Twisters then tacked on two more scores in the second frame, Hyde with a two-yard run and Taj Reid with a 13-yard scamper.
Cook and Jamison Blackwell each had eight tackles, while Hyde and Will Harris were credited with seven stops.
UC hosts Humboldt 6:30 Tuesday night.

Red Devilette soccer
earns shutout win

South Fulton’s soccer team bettered its seasonal mark to 4-4-1 with a 2-0 shutout of Trenton Tuesday.
The Devilettes made a couple of first-half goals stand up, getting one from Morgan Kane off an assist from Savannah Larson, and the other from Kayla Lindsey.
SF is back in action Thursday at Ripley.

Lady Rebel squad
blanked by Westview

Obion Central was shut out for the fourth straight time Tuesday, dropping a hard-fought soccer match to Westview, 2-0, in Martin.
The Lady Rebel defense was solid and Taylor Baker recorded seven saves, but OC could never break through vs. Westview goalie Kayla Guthrie, who had seven saves as well.
Makenzie Vincent scored both Lady Charger goals.
Westview is now 9-2 overall, 5-0 in district play.
