Little Twister sign-up

Registration for Little Twisters basketball will held Saturday and Oct. 29 at the Union City Middle School gym.
Sign-up both days will be noon to 2 p.m.
The league is open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Registration fee is $25 per player or $20 for two or more players per family.
For more information, call Tracy Boucher at 885-0883.

Murray State RB
earns OVC honor

Murray State running back Mike Harris returned to the Racers lineup in a major way as the senior tied a school record with four rushing touchdowns in a come-from-behind homecoming victory over Eastern Illinois.
For his efforts, Harris was named the adidas Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Sunday.
Harris rushed for 133 yards, while tying his career-high with 30 rushing attempts. He becomes the ninth Racer to rush for four touchdowns in a game.
The 133-yard rushing performance marked the fourth time in six games Harris has eclipsed the 100-yard mark. He equals his total of four 100-yard rushing performances from a season ago.
Harris’ eight career 100-yard games ties him for sixth on the all-time list. Published in The Messenger 10.18.11UC Civitans to hold
