The Dyersburg State Community College International Studies Program will bring the sound of France to concerts being held the Dyersburg campus and the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County.
The concerts are part of Chloe Clerc’s tour sponsored by the Tennessee Consortium for International Studies (TnCIS). She will present two free concerts at DSCC.
The first concert will be Monday at 12:45 p.m. in the auditorium of the academic building at the DSCC Jimmy Naifeh Center.
The second concert will take place Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the commons area of the Student Center on the Dyersburg campus.
Accompanying Ms. Clerc will be self-taught musician Aldo Bouchy, who has nurtured a unique style over several years that is influenced by blues, picking, jazz and rock.
Dyersburg State is a member of TnCIS. The organization represents a group of colleges and universities devoted to making international education and cultural understanding a central goal of higher education throughout the state of Tennessee.
TnCIS was founded in 2006 to provide greater focus on the international needs of the state and to develop, support and promote international exchanges of all types.
For more information about the concerts or DSCC’s membership in TnCIS, contact Zaira Garcia, coordinator of International Studies, at (731) 286-3377 or garcia@dscc.edu.
