To honor veterans

A Veterans Day celebration is planned for Nov. 11 at Strand Theater in Tiptonville. Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m., followed by a musical program directed by Kevin Whitter at 7. The program will feature Fowlkes Baptist Sanctuary Choir, Kathy Hayes, Haley Smith and St. John No. 2 Missionary Baptist Choir. Speakers will include Fran Hearn, Chip Davis and Murray Blurton.
The event is free and open to the public in honor of veterans.
