Parade winners noted

Samburg Christmas parade organizers have announced the winners for the parade, which had around 65 entries. More than 300 people gathered at Samburg Assembly of God following the parade to visit with Santa and enjoy snacks. Harvie Eugene Dexter served as grand marshal.
Winners included:
• Judges Choice — first place, Linda and Richard Elam;
• Religious float — first place, Hornbeak Pentecostal Church; and second place, Hornbeak Baptist Church;
• Large float — first place, U-Jump Inflatable;
• Small float — first place, Jimmy Riley;
• Antique car/truck — first place, Robert Pruett; second place, Charlie Conn; and third place, Syndney Lyons;
• Commercial — first place, Gibson Electric; and second place, Buddy’s;
• Business — first place, Coke; and second place, Cash Express;
• Government — first place, Lake County Rescue Squad;
• Scout troop — first place, Tiptonville Troop 80;
• Decorated ATV — recognized for their entries were Brylie Cole, Madison Wilson, Gracie Cole and Linsey Craddock;
• Decorated golf cart — first place, Susie Evans;
• Decorated bicycle — recognized for their entries were Coble Archie, Christopher Pride and Autam Smith;
• Decorated motorcycle — first place, Bailey Basham;
• Band — first place, Obion County Central High School Rebel Marching Band;
• Fire trucks — recognized for their entries were Hornbeak, Ridgely and Samburg;
• Police car — first place, Hornbeak.
