Families hurt by flower thefts
To The Editor: In this season of giving, it is sad when someone steals the flowers from the graves of your family members. My parents bought flowers for my grandparents’ graves on Dec. 10. These were placed at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion and by Dec. 11 they had been stolen. I know in recent years it was reported that people were stealing from graves to make crafts to sell. Do you really think this is the moral thing to do, to steal from the graves of the deceased? Granted, they have no knowledge of this, but it does hurt the family that lovingly remembers the lives of these people through the decoration of their graves. So, to the person who took these flowers, I pray that God shows you more consideration than you have shown those that you have hurt. Mike Mathenia Union City
