Food pantry to open
The Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church One for All food pantry will be open Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. Proof of income and residency is required. For more information, call 885-5203.
The church is located at 1422 Pleasant Valley Ave. in Union City.

Weldon to speak
Nationally-known evangelist the Rev. Brady Weldon of Martin will be the speaker Friday at 7 p.m. at Martin’s Eastside Baptist  Church for Night of Hope. The community is invited to attend.

CP services slated
Youth director Jamie Adams will be speaking from Luke 15 Sunday at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 631 East  Church St. The sermon title will be “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” The community is invited to join the congregation for prayer at 9:45 a.m., followed by Sunday school at 10 and Holy Grounds coffee fellowship at 10:40, just prior to the worship service at 11.
A nursery is provided for all services.
Services are also broadcast live on WOBT-TV each week.

Chittlin’ dinner set
PEOC Ministries, located at 2131 Nailling Drive in Union City, will be selling chittlin’ dinners that will also include spaghetti, green beans and bread for $7. Slices of cakes or pie will be offered for $1.
The Mother’s Board is promoting this fund raising effort and inviting the public to attend.
The event is planned for Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Diners may eat-in, enjoy take-out or have delivery made in the Union City area by calling (731) 335-5618.
Calls will be accepted beginning Friday evening for deliveries on Saturday and those who request this service are asked to leave a message.
