Class to begin
Union City First Assembly of God Singles Lifegroup Class will be starting a new book by Joyce Meyer, “Living Beyond Your Feelings,” Sunday nights starting this week at 5. 
“We would like to welcome all single adults in our area who are interested to join us for this class,” a  spokesman said. “It will be held in the conference room at the church. Should you have any questions, call the church office at 885-2612.” 
The church is located at 1810 Pleasant Valley Ave. The Rev. Tommy Hall is the pastor of the church.

Pinnell to speak
The Rev. Jim Pinnell, from Gleason Cumberland Presbyterian  Church,  will be speaking at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church Sunday.
His sermon will be “Come, Let Us Worship,” taken from Isaiah 6:1-8. 
“Sunday will be a special worship day for us, as we will also be sharing the Lord’s Supper together and the Rev. Pinnell will be installing our new session board of elders for this year,” a spokesman said.
The public is invited to join the congregation for prayer at 9:45 a.m., followed by Sunday school at 10 and Holy Grounds coffee fellowship at 10:40, just prior to the worship service at 11.
A nursery is provided for all services. Services are also broadcast live on WOBT-TV each week.

Welcoming McGregor
The congregation at Manna Ministries near Union City will welcome the Rev. Owen McGregor of South Africa as their speaker Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
He pastors a church of 5,000.
“Come and hear this anointed man of God and be blessed,” said the Rev. Ruth Green.

White will preach
The Rev. Mark White will speak at Healing Faith Family Worship Center at 2113 West Main St. in Union City Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Shane Long and the congregation invite the community to attend.

To honor Jenkins
The Rev. Paul Jenkins and First Lady Gloria Jenkins wil be honored on the pastor’s anniversary Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Miles Chapel Church in Martin. The church is located on the corner of Jackson and Lindell streets.
The Rev. Rozelle Dotstry of Bashan Baptist Church in Rives will be the guest speaker and his congregation will be special guests. A meal will be served upon the arrival of the guests, a spokesman said.
