WESTSTAR RECEIVES $20,000 FROM USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT – Leaders from West Tennessee and the WestStar Leadership Program joined Jan. 5 to celebrate the incoming 2012 WestStar class at its first orientation. Bobby Goode, USDA Rural Development state director, presented WestStar with a $20,000 check on behalf of USDA Rural Development, which has consistently been a strong supporter of WestStar in the past. WestStar helps local leaders of West Tennessee to take responsibility for the growth and development of their communities, counties and state.
