DNA workshop set

The Messenger, January 27, 2012 The Tennessee State Library and Archives in Nashville will host a DNA-based workshop Feb. 18 from 9-10:30 a.m. J. Mark Lowe will be the guest speaker, assisted by John F. Baker Jr. “Individuals interested in genealogy make up a large portion of the State Library and Archives’ customer base,” Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett said. “This workshop will offer advanced training in the use of DNA to enhance genealogical research.” Nancy Miller Latimer, whose column “Genes-R-Us” is featured each Wednesday in The Messenger, plans to attend this session and suggests that anyone else interested in the session contact her at Nancy@NancyMillerLatimer.com
