Budget Rally set
Bells Chapel CME  Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton, will host Budget Rally events at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Jessie Johnson of Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton will be the guest speaker.
The Rev. Claudette Snorton and the congregation invite the community to attend.

To mark anniversary
Jacksonville Free Will Baptist Church, located at 202 College St. in South Fulton, will celebrate the church’s anniversary Sunday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Ron Smith and his congregation from New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Union City as special guests. A meal will be served at 1:30 p.m. or upon the arrival of guests.
The community is invited to attend, according to the Rev. James Walford.

Choir Day slated
Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, located at 1304 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City, will be observing the congregation’s annual Choir Day Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Several choirs will be participating.
The Rev. Eugene Coleman and the congregation invite the community to attend.
To sell dinners
Members of PEOC Ministry at 2131 Nailling Drive in Union City will be selling meals that include chicken and dressing, potato salad, green beans, dessert and drink for $5 Sunday at 1 p.m. Eat-in or carry-out dining will be available.

To show ‘Courageous’
Members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, located in the Crystal community two miles off Lake Road, will be hosting a free showing of the popular family-friendly movie “Courageous” Saturday at 5 p.m. in the congregation’s family life center.
The drama will be shown on a 12-foot Blue-ray screen and light snacks will be available.
“We are so happy to be able to provide this free outreach to our community,” says the pastor, the Rev. Steve Carr. “We’re inviting all who want to enjoy this wonderful movie to join us. Our church is on the Crystal Road, just after taking a right past Preuett’s market.”

To honor pastor
Members of Church of Jesus for All, located at 817 East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City, are inviting the community to join them to honor their pastor, the Rev. Harry Hayes, on his eighth anniversary, which will be May 20. A special pre-anniversary event is set for 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Lawrence Emerson, pastor of New Life Ministries in Union City, as the speaker and his congregation as special guests.

CP services set
“How to Critique a Church,” based on I Thessalonians 1:1-8, will be the theme Sunday at 11 a.m., when the Rev. Mike Osment preaches at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The church is located at 631 East  Church St. The usual livestream version of the service is temporarily unavailable.
A nursery is provided at the church, and the community is invited to join the congregation for worship. For transportation, call 885-9773.

Revival slated
Dr. Roc Collins, senior pastor at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Kingsport, will be the evangelist for revival services beginning Sunday, with services at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m., and continuing through Wednesday at 7 each evening, at Union City Second Baptist Church. The church meets at 831 Everett Blvd.
Pre-celebration music will begin at 6:45 weeknights.
On Sunday, the congregation’s worship choir will present the music, with Brotherhood singing on Monday, the Renaissance Quartet with Matthew Holt from Bethel University in McKenzie on Tuesday and the worship choir leading again on Wednesday.
The community is invited to attend. The Rev. Eddie Mallonee is pastor and Barry Keathley is in charge of music.

Special event planned
Team Impact will be performing at the annual Upward Awards Night Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 2250 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City. The Upward Awards Night is the exciting conclusion to the winter Upward basketball/cheerleading program, a ministry of Calvary Church.
Those attending this special night will be amazed by the feats of Team Impact members.
Team Impact uses the talents of elite athletes, performing a mesmerizing production, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with old and young alike.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the community is invited to share in this exciting event.
