Steve and Missy McComb of Park City, Utah, have partnered with Robert and Elisha Spicer of Samburg to open the new Mexican restaurant.
Baja Fresh Mex Grill, located at 600 East Lakeview Drive, specializes in California-style Mexican dishes with a menu that offers something for everyone.
There is a kids menu available, to go along with the wide variety of items featured on the main menu. Included on that menu are all the traditional Mexican plates one would expect, as well as some traditional American dishes such as burgers and fries, grilled chicken and shrimp, salads, ranch steak and vegetarian items.
Customers will also find several menu items with such unique titles as Roll Your Own, Gringo, the Reelfoot Burger, Baja Burger, Union City Quesadilla, Kirby Pocket Quesadilla and Reelfoot Quesadilla.
Dining at the Baja Fresh Mex Grill is a relaxing experience, with spectacular views of Reelfoot Lake visible from the back dining area. The meals are colorful to look at and are also very tasty.
Meals are prepared using fresh ingredients and just the right selection of spices.
Baja Fresh Mex Grill offers a variety of traditional Mexican desserts, bottled beers, handmade Mexican soda and specialty coffees.
Inside the restaurant, there is new carpeting, a colorful new paint scheme and new lighting fixtures that create an inviting atmosphere for diners.
Out back, there are several patio tables with colorful umbrellas set up along the deck overlooking the lake.
“Proper preparation takes time, especially when we are busy, so please relax and enjoy the beautiful view of Reelfoot Lake,” the menu states in part. It’s good advice, as the meals are definitely worth the wait.
“We will strive to always bring you fresh, healthy choices when you dine with us,” Spicer said. “A full Mexican menu is available, along with traditional gringo dishes for those of you preferring north of the border fare.”
“We hope you will give us a try and are confident that, once you taste our Mexican, you will make Baja Fresh Mex Grill your favorite place to dine,” he added.
The Samburg restaurant is open from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. April through June and from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. the rest of the year.
The telephone number for Baja Fresh Mex Grill is 538-2803.
