A ‘COUNTRY’ CHRISTMAS — Ridgemont Elementary School seventh-grade World Geography class students (from left) Zach King, Taylor Baker and James Griggs were among those who recently helped decorate a Christmas tree for the school’s geography classes’ participation in the Obion County Museum’s annual Parade of Trees. This year’s theme was “Christmas Around the World.” Each geography class chose a country and decorated a tree to resemble that country. The students had to research to discover what types of ornaments and decorations they needed to use. In addition, a few students entered trees on their own and Jentrie Seals’ fifth-period class was the winner of a contest with a tree decorated for the country of Ireland. The winner will receive a pizza party and a free class trip to the museum.
