Self-defense offered free at UT Martin

A free course in women’s self-defense and rape aggression defense (RAD) is available through the University of Tennessee at Martin’s Office of Extended Campus and Online Studies.
The course will be held 4-10 p.m. May 21-22 on campus.
Terry Guthrie, certified instructor in RAD basic physical defense, will in-struct the course, which includes lecture, discussion and self-defense techniques and is suitable for women of all ages and abilities. Participants are required to attend both days of instruction and will receive a certificate of completion.
The course is open to the general public, including UT Martin students, faculty and staff. Only women are eligible to participate.
