Two students from Obion County received bachelor’s degrees from Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Ky., during commencement exercises Saturday at Graves County (Ky.) High School.
Carey D. Morris of Troy received a bachelor of science degree in Christian ministries and Norma Lynn Cox of Union City received a bachelor of science degree in business management.

Several students from Obion County were named to the Dean’s List or honor roll for the spring semester at Dyersburg State Community College.
Named to the Dean’s List were Brittany Parker and Brian Hill, both of Kenton; Jessica Alexander, Susan Douglas and Crystal Stockdale, all of Hornbeak; Kimberly Gurien and Jon Koob, both of Obion; Jessica Baker, Aaronda Bivens and Kimberly Stone, all of South Fulton; Brandy Hamm, David Mathis and Joli Tackett, all of Troy; and Sandra Beasley, Ricky Horton, James Hudspeth, Linda Jernigan, Jonathan Jonas, Kenneth McCord, Mary Wellons, David Wharton and Jody Wright, all of Union City.
Those named to the honor roll were Tyson Greene and Amanda Trader, both of Kenton; David Lamastus of Hornbeak; Warren Keeling of Obion; Devin Ellison of Rives; Sheridan Daniels of South Fulton; Eric Garrigan, Chelsea Guy, James Spaulding and Magen Warner, all of Troy; and Cynthia Anderson, Kimberly Collins, Travis Daniel, Stephanie Hall, James Heathcott, James Hill, LaKeisha Hunter, Chantella Jackson, Alyssa McMinn, Donny Robinson, Leann Staser, Linda Stokes and Frankie Underwood, all of Union City.

Courtney Carroll of Union City has been named an All-American Scholar by the U.S. Achievement Academy.
She is the daughter of Cynthia Carroll of Union City and Don McClain of Hick-man, Ky. Her grandparents are David and Evelyn Carroll of Union City and Beverly McClain of Hickman.
The USAA has established the All-American Scholar At-Large Award Program to recognize superior students who excel in academic disciplines. All-American Scholars must earn a 3.3 or higher GPA.
Miss Carroll, who attends Obion County Central High School, will appear in the All-American Scholar At-Large Yearbook.

Simone Harris of Old Hickory will attend the National Young Scholars Program this summer.
She is the 10-year-old granddaughter of Thurman and Caseline Mobley, longtime residents of Union City, and is a fourth-grade student at Andrew Jackson Elementary in Old Hickory.
Miss Harris has been on the Principal’s List or the A&B honor roll every grading period and, by the end of this school year, will achieve four years of perfect attendance.
As a National Young Scholars participant, she will travel to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to take part in the leadership and crime scene investigation programs.
