Women’s program set
Bells Chapel CME Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton, will host the annual “Women’s  Day” Sunday. At 11 a.m., the guest speaker will be the Rev. Lisa R. Snorton, associate pastor of Towns Chapel CME Church in Lockland, Ohio. At 3 p.m., Bishop Teresa E. Snorton, president prelate of the Fifth Episcopal District of the CME Church, will deliver the message.
The Rev. Claudette Snorton and the congregation invite the community to attend and rejoice in the theme, “Women of God.”

VBS to begin
New Concord Baptist Church, located at 3672 Concord Road near Kenton, will be hosting Vacation Bible School for children 3 years old through fifth grade Monday through Wednesday. Monday night will start with registration at 6 p.m. and will end at 8:30. Tuesday and Wednesday events will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30.
All children in the age and grade ranges listed are invited to attend, a spokesman said.

Baldridge to preach
The Rev. Kempton Baldridge will speak at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hickman, Ky., Sunday at 11 a.m. Fellowship will follow in the church parish house.
The public is invited to attend.

To mark celebration
Cobb’s Chapel United Methodist Church will celebrate homecoming and decoration day Sunday at the church on Shawtown Road near Hornbeak.
Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 and a potluck meal at the conclusion of the service.
The cemetery association meeting will begin at 1:30.
Donations for upkeep of the cemetery may be mailed to Mayme Denton, 3623 West Main St., Union City, TN 38261.
The Rev. Terry English is the pastor.

5K run/walk set
Exchange Street Church of Christ will have a KIDS-4-kids 5K run/walk, plus a mile-long run/walk Sat-urday, with registration set for 7:30 a.m. and participants set to move out at 8.
The cost is $25 for the 5K and $20 for the mile event.
There will also be bacon and biscuits and sausage and biscuits, along with juice and coffee, for sale at the church, located at 420 East Exchange St. in Union City.

To celebrate Sunday
Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, locate on Mt. Moriah Road near Obion, will celebrate homecoming Sunday. Sunday school will begin at 10, with worship at 11.
The Rev. Wilson Walley, pastor of the church, will bring the message.
A potluck fellowship meal is planned at the close of the service and a music program will follow.
The public is invited to attend.

Living Truth to sing
Living Truth Quartet will help the congregation of Willingham (Madie) Baptist Church in Ridgely celebrate homecoming June 3 with a gospel singing at 1:30 p.m.
The community is invited to attend.

Homecoming planned
Mt. Zion United Methodist Church near Union City will celebrate homecoming Sunday, with Sunday school to begin at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11.
The Rev. Harold Nation will be the speaker.
A potluck meal, with barbecue furnished by the church, will follow.
The Rev. Hugh Barksdale and the congregation invite the community to join them for the opportunities to worship and fellowship.
The cemetery association meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Marking decoration day
Decoration day will be observed Sunday at Stanley’s Cemetery near the airport and near Union City.
The Rev. Franklin Gardner of Martin will be the speaker.
The program will begin at 11 a.m. and a noon meal will be served, with the business session to follow from 1:30-2 p.m. and special music and singing planned to take place from 2-3.
Members of the finance committee include Emily Haynes (Stanley), Jennifer Powers (Midway), Lucy Johnston (Union City), Tammy Rinks (Martin), Martha Brown (out of town) and Patsy McWherter (out of town).
Decoration day set
Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church will hold decoration day Sunday, with Sunday school beginning at 10 a.m. and worship at 11. The Rev. Judd Mowery will preach.
A potluck lunch will be served at noon and the brief cemetery association meeting will follow at 1:15.
The public is invited to attend.

To observe holiday
Obion County Memorial Gardens will observe decoration day Monday.
