90th to be celebrated

Carl Stanley Pugh of Troy will be celebrating his 90th birthday with a reception from 2-4 p.m. July 1 at Troy United Methodist Church. He was born June 30, 1922, in Norfolk, Va., son of the late Charles and Mary Musselman Pugh. He was one of nine siblings. Four remain. He is married to Virginia Rogers Pugh. He has one daughter and son-in-law, Randy and Barbara Morris of Kernersville, N.C. He worked for the Navy department for more than seven years as a Marine machinist. He spent 27 years in the Army in the infantry and later the Corp of Engineers. He retired from the City of Austin, Texas, where he was a design engineer coordinator, sold his home and moved to Tennessee. All friends and family are invited to attend. He requests no gifts.
