Annual barbecue set
Cayce (Ky.) United Methodist Church, located on Highway 94, will have its annual barbecue supper Wednesday. Serving will begin at 5 p.m.
Barbecue pork and mutton, slaw, potato salad, baked beans and homemade desserts will be available.

VBS scheduled
Pentecostal Tabernacle, located at 16235 State Route 45 South in Water Valley, Ky., will be having Vacation Bible School Monday through July 20 from 6-8 p.m. for ages 6-12.

To honor pastor
United Church of the Living God, located at 609 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Fulton, will host its sixth annual fellowship luncheon honoring pastor Margaret Pettigrew Saturday from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
Everyone is welcome and gifts of love are very much appreciated, a spokesman said.

Appreciation service
Bells Chapel C.M.E. Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive, Fulton, will have a pastor’s appreciation service for the Rev. Claudette Snorton Sunday at 3 p.m.
Special guest will be the Rev. Bruce W. Burns of Peoples Community C.M.E. Church in Dayton, Ohio.
“Please come and help us celebrate this appreciation service for this woman of God,” a spokesman said.

Community Pride Day
Samburg Assembly of God will host Community Pride Day Saturday.
There will be free food and games at 11 a.m., followed by free gospel singing at 2.
 
VBS planned
Samburg Assembly of God is planning Vacation Bible School with the theme “Adventures on Promise Island” 6-8 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
It is open to children ages 3-11.

Pastor to be installed
First Church of God, located at 415 Miles Ave. in Union City, will have a short installation service, with a reception to follow, on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. for new pastor the Rev Ron and Wanda Gray.
Assisting in the service will be the Rev. Richard and Claudia Triplett of Popular Bluff, Mo.
Everyone is invited to come and welcome the Grays and also visit with the Tripletts, a spokesman said.

McCadney celebrated
The members of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church are celebrating their pastor, the Rev. A.E. McCadney, for 31 years of spiritual leadership.
They will honor him Friday through Sunday.
A “Roast of Pastor McCadney” will be held Friday at Casey-Johnson Community Center on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive beginning at 7 p.m.
A musical celebration will be held Saturday at the church at 6 p.m. There will be various musical groups to help celebrate this great occasion.
The climax of the anniversary celebration will be on Sunday at the church beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Christopher Rainer of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson will be the morning speaker. The Rev. Iran Yarbrough and members of Elam Baptist Church of Ripley will be special guests for the afternoon service at 4.

Pastor anniversary
New Victory Baptist Church in Rutherford will host Pastor Anniversary Day Sunday.
The members will honor pastor and first lady the Rev. Terry and Sherry Bolden of Obion.
The Rev. Roy Wade, pastor of Mount Zion Worship Center in Bradford, and his congregation will be the guests for lunch at 1:30 p.m. and a service at 3 p.m.
All are invited to attend, a spokesman said.

VBS begins today
Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, located at 801 East College St., Union City, will begin Vacation Bible School today from 6-8 p.m. Classes will continue on Friday and a wrap up and picnic will be held Saturday.

Willetts to speak
James and Judy Willett will be sharing God’s word with the congregation at Healing Faith Family Worship Center, located at 2113 West Main St., Union City, Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Jamey Willett Parker will be speaking Sunday night at 6.
Pastor Shane Long invites the community to visit and experience God’s touch on their life through their ministry.
