REVIEWING DETAILS — Charlie Grooms of Union City (left), chairman of Discovery Park of America’s Pioneer Village committee, and committee member Bill Austin of Martin view the fine details on the architectural board that shows the Discovery Park layout. The most recent drawings were presented Tuesday and Wednesday to the local committees charged with planning the multi-million dollar education-entertainment-tourist attraction that will be built locally over the next couple of years. The Canadian architectural team has made several visits to the area, each time providing more detail and more excitement for those involved in the planning of the museum-convention center and park. The most recent reason for excitement included some specific plans for a metallic and glass exterior for the undulating park centerpiece building and expanded interior exhibit space with some initial innovative layout proposals.
