Women's workshop set

The Tennessee Women’s Political Caucus, in partnership with Jackson Area Business & Professional Women, will present the Women’s Political Empowerment Workshop on Saturday in Jackson. The workshop will focus on the importance of women being politically aware and involved and will explore why women need to change the conversation. It will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Student Union, Jack Morris Ballroom, at the University of Memphis Lambuth campus, located at 705 Lambuth Blvd. The luncheon program is “The Good, the Bad and the Humor in Holding Public Office.” Keynote speakers will be Madison County General Sessions Judge Christy R. Little of Jackson and former state representative Judy Barker of Union City. The cost for the full workshop, including lunch, is $85. Lunch only is $45. The cost for students is $35 and they must show ID at registration.
