Prep football section
is just a week away

Just one more week. Exactly.
That’s how long area high school football fans have to wait for one of the most decorated annual publications in the state.
The Messenger’s 2012 prep football preview section will be published a week from today, covering Obion County and West Tennessee.
The section, judged best in the state 13 of the past 15 years and runner-up in those other two years, will offer expanded coverage on Obion Central, South Fulton and Union City while also providing glances at nearly 20 other schools in the area.
Features that recall great teams of the past and a look at the hot-button topics of concussions and heat index will also be included.
And, in addition to the ever-popular block schedules, a map of West Tennessee’s football hot beds will help get fans to all the top games.
The Messenger’s 24-page super section will come out two days after the expanded prep section at sister publication The Weakley County Press on Tuesday.
Given an extreme makeover last year, the Press section was judged best in the state.
This year, the Press preview is even bigger and better with the addition of four pages to bring the total to 20.
