Vandalism, thefts under investigation

The Gleason Police Department is investigating a string of incidents reportedly occurring Aug. 18 through Aug. 21 in the town.
According to a press release issued by the GPD, officer Jordan Lee was called to 503 West Main St. in Gleason Aug. 18 for a report of theft of property.
According to the occupants of the residence, sometime during the previous night, six rod and reel combinations and one large tackle box had been taken from the boat parked under their carport. The reels were identified as a Bass Pro Extreme, two Zebcos, a 4600 Ambassador open-faced, a Daiwa Procaster and a golden color open-faced reel. The tackle box reportedly taken was a Plano brand either brown or gold in color.
On Aug. 21, a person had reported the apparent theft of a 30-gallon, 1.6 HP Kobalt air compressor with a black tank and blue sticker on it from his residence. The owner told officers the last time he had seen the air compressor was Aug. 15 at 9 p.m. when he returned home from church. He reportedly contacted friends to see if the item had been borrowed.
An apparent vandalism at Snider Park concession stand is the third incident under investigation by the department. According to the press release, officers were contacted by the City of Gleason water superintendent for a report of a busted double-pane window to the left of the service door. The window was apparently the only part of the concession stand that was damaged.
Gleason police are asking anyone with information regarding the incidents to call Crimestoppers at 1-877-364-TIPZ. Information leading to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for crimes is worth up to a $1,000 reward. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
