Flushing to begin

The City of Kenton’s water department will be flushing fire plugs in the community during the evening hours beginning Sept. 10. Residents are advised to run water from a tap in the home to determine if it is discolored before doing laundry. Flushing the lines twice a year is a state requirement, a spokesman said.
