OFFENSE JaQuay Garmon School: South Fulton Pos.: Quarterback Height: 6-3 Weight: 180 Grade: Senior By The Numbers: Gar-mon certainly had his share of big numbers in a game filled with them, a 49-34 Humboldt win on Thursday night. Garmon carried the ball 12 times for 53 yards, scoring on a 1-yard run in the first quarter and then a 2-yard run in the second as SF rallied from a 21-7 deficit to tie the game at 28-all by halftime and then finished with a 28-yard scamper in the fourth quarter. He also completed 9-of-25 passes for 150 yards. All told, the two teams combined for 849 yards, SF’s 300 yards split evenly between rushing and passing, and Humboldt with 507 yards rushing. Honorable Mention: Travis Rutland, Union City, rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown and threw for 61 yards in the Golden Tornadoes’ 42-0 homecoming win over Halls.. ... Blake Berner, OC, threw for 121 yards and rushed for 57 yards and a TD in a 17-16 loss to Westview. ... J.P. Fowler, SF, posted 267 all-purpose yards in Thursday’s 49-34 loss to Humboldt, including 67 and a TD rushing and 57 receiving in addition to a kickoff return for a score.
