DEFENSE Nathan Spaulding School: Obion Central Pos.: Linebacker Height: 6-1 Weight: 184 Grade: Senior By The Numbers: Spaulding continued his career-long trend of registering big numbers in tackles, this past week credited by the Rebel staff with 13 tackles and five assists for 18 total stops in Central’s 27-20 homecoming win over Gibson County. For the season, he has 49 tackles and 30 assists, including three for a loss. In a game where both offenses were on display to the tune of 722 total yards and seven TDs, a defensive play preserved the first win of the season for OC as Chance Mahan grabbed an interception with 42 seconds left. Central’s win extended Gibson County’s losing streak to 37 games, dating back to 2008 Honorable Mention: Willy Kneuppel, SF, had eight total tackles against Halls; J.P. Fowler and Ryan Prince, SF, both had five tackles.
