iPad workshop offers the basics

A workshop on the basic settings and functions of the Apple iPad will be held from 6- 9 p.m. Oct. 4 at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Jessica Crews Garcia will conduct the workshop.
In this beginner’s class, participants will be taken step by step through the basics of using the iPad and learning its capabilities.
There will be an overview of the iPad’s built-in apps, as well as instruction on how to purchase apps from the App Store and redeem iTunes gift cards.
Some apps that will be demonstrated carry a cost, so participants should bring a notepad to take notes or have money available in their Apple account if they want to purchase the apps. Participants must also bring their Apple ID and password that was created when the iPad was purchased.
The registration fee is $65.
The workshop is sponsored by the Office of Extended Campus and Online Studies and will be held on the UTM campus.
