Palmersville Baptist Church

On Sept. 19, Joe and Jackie Laws led us in singing "No Not One." Bro. Kieth did a brief synopsis of the rest of Ecclesiastes, starting with chapter 2:17. Next week we will start the book of 2 Timothy. At the end of the service, we celebrated Joe's 50th birthday.

On Saturday at 4 p.m., James Dean and Anna Burnette were married at our church. They had a lovely wedding. We pray God's blessings upon them.

On this Lord's Day, our Sunday school lesson was "Right Relationships," from Matthew 7:1-12. It was about living in right relationship with others and with God. Each of us needs to start being concerned about our relationship with Him. Ask Him what do I need in my life or what do I need to do to make my life right with Him.

Those celebrating birthdays were Julie Ragan, Nicholas Winstead, Daryl Griffith, Courtney Vickery, Landy Fortune and Rosie Buttrey, who will be a young 95 Saturday.

We extend sympathy to those who lost loved ones this week.

In the worship hour, we sang "I Must Tell Jesus," "I'll Fly Away," "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "Sweet By and By." Micki Cunningham sang a beautiful song, "Part the Waters Lord/I Need Thee Every Hour."

Our message Sunday was from 1 Corinthians 15:12-10. He talked about what if Christ had not been resurrected? He talked about many things that we would not have but in verses 1-4 is the good news that He did resurrect from the grave. Because He did, we can have eternal life and be resurrected as well.

We rejoiced to have Hunter Dyer join our church family.

That night, Joe and Grace Laws led the singing. We sang "Wonderful Words of Life," "Amazing Grace" and "Alleluia." Dawn and KyLee Dyer and Adrianna Pope sang "He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels." They did a great job.

That night’s message was from Ephesians 6: 6-7, 10, 13, and 18-20, with verse 10 being the focal one.

Sunday morning will be Youth Day and the Lord's Supper. We cordially invite everyone to come to any of our services!
