Homecoming slated
Mount Zion Church of Christ, located at 3969 Old Samburg Road near Hornbeak, will host Homecoming Sunday, with William Denman as the speaker.
The theme is “How Sweet, How Heavenly.”
Bible classes will begin at 9 a.m., followed by worship at 10. Lunch will be served. Afternoon worship will begin at 1.
Mount Zion song leaders will conduct the singing.
“Please be our guests this Lord’s Day and give God the glory,” a spokesman said.

Friend Day set
Hornbeak Pentecostal Church, located at 258 West Main St., will host Friend Day Homecoming Sunday.
A Friend Day service will be held at 10 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. The Dildines from Union City will sing at 1.
“All are invited to attend any or all of these special Friend Day Homecoming events hosted to honor the bond of love between friends, family and the Lord Jesus Christ,” a spokesman said.

Church sets events
Miles Chapel in Martin will host Soup for the Soul Sunday.
Worship will begin at 11 a.m., with soup, stews and chili served for lunch following the service.
Bishop Brenda Greer of New Birth Temple of Praise in Fulton will be the guest speaker at 2:30 p.m.
Fall Revival will be held Monday through Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Orrin Cowley of McCade Methodist Church in Martin will be the speaker Monday night, while the Rev. James O. Jones of Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church in Woodland Mills will fill that role on Tuesday. The Rev. Henry Green of New Birth Temple of Praise in Fulton will be the Wednesday night speaker.
Everyone is welcome to attend, according to pastor the Rev. Paul Jenkins.

Breakfast served
South Fulton United Methodist Church on Orchard Drive will host a pancake breakfast from 7-11 Oct. 20.
All-you-can-eat pancakes will be served, along with Williams Sausage, orange juice, coffee and milk.
Donations will be accepted.

Holiday bazaar set
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Women’s Group is sponsoring a Holiday Bazaar Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the church activities building, located at 1303 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
Baked goods; homemade jellies, jams and pickles; Christmas, Halloween and craft items; and a white elephant table will be available.
A hot breakfast will be served from 7:30-10 for $3.50 per person.
Soup, sandwiches, dessert and drink will be served for lunch between 11 and 1 for $5 per person. To-go orders will be available by calling 446-0903.

Welcomes new pastor
South Haven Baptist Church of Rutherford recently welcomed its first full-time pastor, Rick Hunt, and his wife, Margaret.
Hunt moved to the area from Middle Tennessee. He is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University, under Dr. Lee Roberson, and earned his master’s degree at Maryland Baptist Theological Seminary.
South Haven meets at the Circle S Farm Supply just off Salem Road in Rutherford. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., followed by morning worship 11. Sunday evening services are at 5. Wednesday night Bible study and prayer time begins at 6:30 p.m.
