CLARKSVILLE (AP) — A couple in Clarksville told police someone broke in and stole their monkey.
Authorities said Amber Bradley came home to find the front door wide open. She called her boyfriend, Douglas Jackson, and he said he shut the door when he left the house.
The marmoset named Gizzy was missing and the couple’s dogs were outside.
The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reported police found pry marks on the front door when they investigated Sept. 28. The couple’s electronics and even cash left in sight were untouched.
Bradley said Gizzy squeaks loudly and might shy away from people he doesn’t know.
Police spokesman Jim Knoll said today the monkey was still missing.
