Corvin Farms supports 4-H | Corvin Farms, Tractor Supply, Obion County 4-H

SUPPORT 4-H — Corvin Farms, located in Dresden, has teamed up with Tractor Supply in Union City to support 4-H. David and Megan Corvin and their daughter, Molly, were joined by Obion County 4-H’ers (from left) Jonathan Ryder, 15, and Matthew Ryder, 12, children of Jay and Donna Ryder of Union City, and Cody Elks, 10, and Cory Elks, 11, children of Chad and Michelle Elks of South Fulton, Saturday as Corvin sold pumpkins, ranging from 50 cents for miniatures to $15 for giants, and mums for $5 each. A percentage of the sales go to the 4-H program. Also on sale are Weakley County Farm Bureau Women’s “Farm Fresh Recipes” cookbooks for $10 each. They include recipes provided by Weakley County residents and restaurants and are also available at the Weakley County Farm Bureau office in Dresden. The proceeds go to the Agriculture in the Classroom program. The Corvins recently learned they were named the 2012 Tennessee Young Farmer Excellence in Agriculture winners. They will represent the state during national competition in January. Corvin is a technical advisor for Tyson Foods in Union City, while Mrs. Corvin is the head equestrian coach at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
