Drug charge levied

A Union City man was charged with a drug-related offense Monday following the execution of a search warrant at his home. Joseph A. White, 24, of 608 North Division St., Union City, was arrested at 8 p.m. Monday on a charge of promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine, according to a Union City Police Department report. He was scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. today. Police reported a search warrant was executed Sunday night at White’s residence. Officers allegedly located in a shed at the rear of the house a bag that contained two “one pot” labs and three gas generators. The reporting officer and a sheriff’s deputy neutralized the items, which were released to the Meth Task Force for disposal, according to the report.
